Being away from home at an important time of year like Christmas can be one of the loneliest times of year, especially if you are naturally someone who stays in touch with their family, and usually enjoys Christmas.  Whether you are working, can’t travel home or simply want to enjoy a quieter Christmas but still stay in touch, then perhaps you should consider using a conference call to stay in touch at that important time of year.
Whatever the reason that you can’t actually travel to see family during the holidays, you could of course make a phone call, and speak with everyone individually, but a conference call can really help you get the best out of everyone by talking to everyone together.  If it is the case that you are the only member of the family unable to make it home, then at least a conference call can help you get some good family banter going.
